Are Stoke & Embr Stoves certified in any way?
No, they are not. Most applications for a mini wood stove are mobile and do not require certifications or have codes to follow, do your research to make sure our stoves are right for you, and use at your own risk.
What kind of stove pipe should I use?
The Nomad Stove has a 3" collar. We will be selling our own stove pipe components by December of 2025. In the meantime, you can buy flue parts at https://www.tinywoodstove.com/store/#3-inch-parts.
Can I use larger stove pipe?
Yes, you can. However, 3" is ideal as it doesn't create too big of a draft for the small stove. This means more heat is kept in the stove. If you use an adapter to use larger stove pipe, you should also install a stove pipe damper.
Can you do other customization?
Depends on what you're looking for! Get in touch and we can discuss further.
What fuel source do these burn?
You should only burn dry/seasoned firewood or natural fire briquettes with no glue in them. Fire briquettes can produce a longer, more efficient burn than firewood. The Nomad Stove can take firewood up to 8" long.
Can I pickup locally?
Yes! We love fulfilling local orders. Please select "local pickup" when checking out
Will the fire last through the night?
Unfortunately the reality with mini wood stoves is that they will die out before the morning, even if fully loaded before bed
Do these come with firebricks installed?
No, they do not. You can always add them though
Do you install stoves?
No, we dont
What should be behind and below my stove?
It is recommended to only install your stove where nearby surfaces are non-combustable materials, including below it. If possible, creating air gaps between surrounding non-combustible surfaces is ideal for heat dissipation.
Can I bolt down my stove?
Yes, all stoves come with mounting tabs
Do I need to clean the chimney?
Yes, it is recommended that you clean your chimney every few weeks towards the beginning of its use. This will give you an idea of how quickly creosote builds up.
